The end of summer 2010 promises new downhill thrills as Blue Mountain launches Ontario’s first Mountain Coaster!

For adrenaline junkies, the Mountain Coaster puts the rider in the driver’s seat, literally, controlling the speed and velocity at which the cart travels down the escarpment. The Mountain Coaster is the first attraction of a multi-year summer attractions master plan that will also include Mini Golf, Rock Climbing, Euro-Bungee, Tree-Top Walk, Zip-Line and Mountain-Top Park.

Mountain Coaster at a Glance:

• Guests ride to the top of the Glades area and descend to the bottom of Grand Central Lodge
• Elevated cart track 1-6 metres off the ground
• Riders can sit one or two people per cart and control their own speed
• Carts slide over bumps, twist through corkscrews and zigzag through the trees of the glades
• Mountain Coaster can run in most weather conditions — even in winter!
